What's The 'Bacon Avocado' Trend On TikTok? The Meme About Saying 'Bacon Avocado' As Fast As Possible Explained

The TikTok algorithm has spread a new trend this past month, known as the "Bacon Avocado" trend. However, it's not about cooking.
Instead, it's about saying the words "Bacon Avocado" as fast as possible and then replaying it in slow-motion to check if one's garbled outburst actually sounds like the phrase.
It might sound straightforward, but the catch is that the slow-mo replay usually has nothing to do with the two grocery store items recited in the video's first half. People instead say outlandish catchphrases in the second half, which are often sourced from other memes.
But why is this trend popular? Who started the "Bacon Avocado" trend, and how is it transforming online? Let's explain.

Where Did The 'Bacon Avocado' Trend Come From?
A TikToker named @rayrambo__ is currently the first discovered user to post a "Bacon Avocado" video. However, he started the trend by saying the words "foot lettuce," based on the "Burger King Foot Lettuce" meme. He later pivoted to the phrase "Bacon Avocado" at the start of June.
In all of his videos, he doesn't say, "Bacon Avocado," in the slow-motion replay. He instead recites long-winded insults humorously aimed at the video's viewer.

How Has The 'Bacon Avocado' Trend Evolved?
TikTokers have taken advantage of the "Bacon Avocado" trend so that they can trick people into getting berated, following @rayrambo__'s lead. In a way, the "Bacon Avocado" trend is like a bait-and-switch prank because the first part lures the viewer in and the second part throws them for a loop.
It's not just mean roasts being levied in the slow-mo replays, though. Some creators are now complimenting viewers or professing their love to them. Others are using the opportunity to name-drop their favorite meme catchphrases.
For instance, TikToker Kevin James Sievert, who's the star of the viral "A Barbershop Haircut That Costs a Quarter" video, used the format to build on his meme by singing his famous Newsies line.

What Are Some More 'Bacon Avocado' Memes From The TikTok Trend?
Many people have joined the trend on TikTok, due in part to its ease of creation. All it takes is a front-facing camera and a slow-motion effect, which one can find in CapCut or on the TikTok app itself.
If you're chronically online, chances are you'll understand the references people make in many of these examples.
