Animated horror is a massive genre online, so it might not surprise you that a new animated horror web series by YouTuber Kaaatie, Fundamental Paper Education, is quickly gaining a fanbase after premiering earlier this month.

The animation, drawn in a paper style, features a group of students struggling to survive in a school dominated by killer teachers, including the deadly Miss Circle. Here's what you need to know.

What Is 'Fundamental Paper Education?'

At the beginning of March, YouTuber and animator Kaaatie posted the first episode of her animated web series Fundamental Paper Education. The series, drawn in a distinct paper style comparable somewhat to Paper Mario, albeit much darker, is about a group of students attending a school filled with homicidal teachers that get violent when students perform poorly.

In the first episode, which is a fan music video for The Living Tombstone's song "Basics in Behavior," itself a Baldi's Basics fan song, we see a student fail a test, resulting in her being chased by Miss Circle, a teacher with a compass for a hand, along with other monstrous teachers, Miss Bloomie and Miss Thavel.

As the animation goes on, we see some students attempting to help others survive the teachers.

Who Is 'Miss Circle?'

While the animation introduces many characters, both students and teachers, one teacher in particular has become a quick fan-favorite among the series' growing fanbase.

That teacher is Miss Circle, a math teacher with sharp features and a drawing compass for a hand that she uses to attack students who perform poorly in her class. She also purportedly really loves Oreo cookies, according to her lore.

Miss Circle seems to be the primary antagonist of the series and has inspired a lot of fan art and edits over the past few weeks. Many fans seem to admire her design and find her intriguing despite being inarguably psychotic.

She's been compared to other "killer teacher" characters, like Baldi and Miss Delight from Poppy Playtime.
