There's a new main character going viral on Twitter / X and she's a cat girl named NekoChan.
NekoChan is something of a spiritual successor to December's Lovehound, a freaky pink dog that's now being dragged back into the limelight alongside NekoChan.

Who Is The Telegram Cat Girl?
The NekoChan sticker pack was made available on the social media messenger app Telegram as early as June 2023. The pack, which can be installed by any Telegram user, consists of 27 GIFs of a pink-haired cat girl named NekoChan doing a variety of things, from striking simple emotions to rolling around on the floor to a few more inappropriate things.
NekoChan is also known as NekoWaifu or, on Twitter, the "Telegram cat girl." Recently, she broke free of Telegram when X user @pawliftt posted one of her GIFs. The post garnered significant attention and got everyone curious about the mysterious cat girl, turning her into a Twitter legend overnight.

How Is NekoChan Used In Memes?
Since going viral on Twitter, NekoChan has been popping up all over the app. Some people are simply sharing her GIFs, from the innocent to the more lewd. Others are using them as memes by accompanying them with funny captions.
Mostly, NekoChan has become the subject of fan art. A lot of this fan art skews on the spicy side, however, some of it simply depicts NekoChan in a new style.
Other pieces of art use both NekoChan and Lovehound, another viral Telegram sticker character who shares a few similarities with NekoChan.
