'Deltarune Tomorrow' Meme Might Now Be 'Deltarune Today' Following An Announcement From Toby Fox

For fans of the video game Deltarune, it might feel like the night before fishing because developer Toby Fox just tweeted on Tuesday, "Deltarune tomorrow."
The tweet immediately went viral, amassing over 10 million views in under 24 hours.
It's because Fox smartly played into a popular meme among the game's fanbase, known as the "Deltarune Tomorrow" meme. It's all about preemptively announcing the release of the game's third and fourth chapters, which numerous fans have been eagerly waiting for.
Now, it seems like they're actually dropping for the Nintendo Switch 2, although unconfirmed.

Fox's post sparked viral memes and fanfare on Twitter / X. "HE SAID THE THING," wrote one user in all-caps.
Others piled on with fan art that expressed the excitement of the moment. Some showed Fox's avatar hitting an impossible no-look trick shot. Others showed that it felt like living in 1984. Across the board, though, the general reaction online was like the "Wolf Ripping His Shirt" meme.

It was all fun and games until the official Twitter account of Discord chimed in with a reply, joking about "Deltarune Tomorrow" turning into "Deltarune Today."
Someone quote-tweeted Discord's reply with the "Dude Nobody Invited" meme, and the ratio was then set in motion, playing into the anti-corporate sentiment "Silence, Brand!"

The "Deltarune Tomorrow" meme dates back further than this most recent announcement, though. Posts using the catchphrase go back to early last year.
But the meme picked up major traction a few months ago, when fans began losing hope, showing themselves as the guy in the "Digging for Diamonds" meme, solemnly walking away from hope.
Looking back now, many are glad that they kept digging, because if Toby Fox is being for real, the June 5th, 2025, release date that was promised might be the real one.
