He Tryna Ignore It

Social media users found a new dog to relate to this past week through memes about all the things they're "tryna ignore."

The image of the dog, whose closed-eyes expression might remind you of the "Cooked Dog" meme, comes from a video originally posted online as early as January 2026.

In the video, the dog sits in front of a fire as some food cooks on the stove, as if waiting patiently for a chance to eat and trying to ignore the flames. In one reupload of the video, the caption, "He tryna ignore it," has been added under the dog.

A screenshot of the captioned video started spreading online in April and May 2026 and really took off on X / Twitter this past week as a meme.

The memes have users write a caption about something hard to ignore, but that they desperately want to ignore, using the dog to represent themselves.

Bowie Knife99

The much-hyped racing video game Forza Horizon 6 came out recently, but some players are having their experience ruined by an extremely aggressive AI racer named Bowie Knife99.

Bowie Knife99 is one of the game's "Drivatars," an AI NPC driver meant to offer a challenge to players. However, some are arguing that Bowie Knife99 doesn't exactly play fair.

This past week, videos of Bowie Knife99 mercilessly bullying players off the road in exceedingly aggressive ways started going viral, inspiring a wave of memes painting Bowie Knife99 as the game's ultimate villain.

Some of the videos are truly insane. While Bowie Knife99 has a habit of simply pushing players off the road by sideswiping them, the Drivatar also has a habit of coming out of nowhere to crash headfirst into players' cars.

In one viral video, Bowie Knife99 even drops down from a cliff to flatten another racer, offering them no time to get out of the way.

The devs have already announced plans to balance Drivatars, but as of now, Bowie Knife99 still seems to be on a rampage. Look out, racers.

Nahhh Wait You Look Tuff I'm Taking a Photo

A recent webcomic by artist Nick Vost became a big redraw format recently, and it's all about the importance of taking photos when your friends look tuff.

The comic was posted in early May and shows Batman stopping himself from asking Commissioner Gordon a question after realizing how "tuff" he looks smoking a cigar.

Batman decides that taking a photo of Gordon is far more important than whatever he was going to ask and whips out his phone, saying, "Nahhh wait you look tuff, I'm taking a photo." That's a true friend right there.

The comic was redrawn a few days later to replace Batman and Gordon with Deadlock characters. From there, it's slowly picked up steam and inspired new redraws, including a Metal Gear redraw, a Nine Sols redraw and more.

Julie Tsirkin "What Is That?"

NBC News reporter Julie Tsirkin unexpectedly became a meme this week, thanks to her confused and delayed reaction to the sound of shots being fired at the White House over the weekend.

The shots were fired on May 23rd, 2026, and multiple news reporters were on the scene that day. In most of the clips, the reporters react immediately, ducking for cover or getting off the scene as fast as possible.

Tsirkin, however, hears the shots, turns towards the sound, and asks her crew, "What is that?" Then, finally, she and the crew are ushered to safety.

This reaction stood out to a lot of people, who turned her confused face into a meme. Someone also converted the video into a green screen that removes the background, resulting in a lot of funny video edits where Tsirkin reacts with confusion to something else entirely.

Tsirkin eagerly embraced the memes, thanking X users for their edits and sharing several examples on her own social media accounts.

Kit Bodega Fan Redesigns

Finally, the Gameoverse fandom decided to milk the animated pilot just a little more this week with a creative trend in which they draw the protagonist, Kit Bodega, in new outfits and styles.

Kit Bodega is a cat girl, and many viewers of the Gameoverse pilot immediately loved her design. While there were some complaints about her proportions and her design being geared towards the "male gaze" online, a lot of others found themselves infatuated with Kit.

One of the most viral clips from the pilot shows Kit using a device to quickly change her outfit, which may have been the inspiration for this dress-up trend.

This week, fans began drawing Kit in new outfits and with some slight design changes. The majority of these edits depict Kit in the outfits worn by other notable characters, including examples like Invincible, Amy Rose and Ankha.
