February 2025 has proven to be quite a powerful month for memes so far, and this week is no exception.
Over on TikTok, Doug's Winter Party got people excited for a wholesome event they'll never attend. The Super Bowl gave us two heavy hitters with "Say Drake" and "Taylor Swift's Side Eye." Meanwhile, a Spanish reality show got everyone saying, "Montoya Por Favor," and the Sonic fandom turned a bootleg Metal Sonic plush into a powerful meme.
Here are five of the biggest memes of the past week that you should check out.
Bootleg Metal Sonic Plush
Few fandoms put out as steady a stream of memes as the Sonic fandom and this week they spawned a major banger about a bootleg Metal Sonic plush that likes to say "hue hue hue."
The bootleg Metal Sonic plush has been a meme for a few years now, but it was taken to new heights recently when it was paired with a sample from the Sonic CD song "Stardust Speedway" that sounds like "hue hue hue."
Memes pairing these two subjects have been increasing in virality over the past few months but this week they blew up on sites like TikTok, Instagram and X, inspiring everything from videos to animations to a whole lot of fan art.
The fan art has proven incredibly popular this week, with multiple examples gaining thousands of likes and reposts on X. The art typically shows Metal Sonic modeled after the very janky bootleg plush doll with an elongated nose.
Also, he laughs like, "hue hue hue," which is funny for reasons that shouldn't even need to be explained.

Back in January, TikToker @meeesher posted a video from her Ring camera showing an elderly neighbor, Doug, offering her a hand-made invitation to his celebration of winter party. The invitation advertises that the party goes from "4pm until the cops show up."
Doug quickly captured the hearts of the internet, causing the video to go viral and inspiring a lot of excitement over his party. Doug's daughter got on TikTok to offer more details about the man, @meeesher filmer herself visiting him to confirm her attendance at the party and the whole thing resulted in some memes about going to the party.
Unfortunately, Doug's winter party, which happens on February 15th, is private. However, that hasn't stopped people from planning their own parties on the same date in celebration of both Doug and winter. If you're looking for an excuse to party this weekend, look no further.

Say Drake
Kendrick Lamar's diss track "Not Like Us" is the gift that keeps on giving, and there's no better proof of that than the impact that his performance of the song at the Super Bowl last Sunday had on people.
One moment in particular, where Kendrick looked straight into the camera while rapping, "Say Drake, I hear you like 'em young," stood out to a lot of people on social media. The way Kendrick smiled while rapping the line was perfect and almost immediately became one of the biggest memes of the year so far.
No platform was free of its spread, leading to video edits on TikTok, image macros on Reddit and X and a whole lot of general discourse about how much Drake must have been seething at that moment.
The meme can also be blamed for the death of the Duolingo owl, who was pronounced dead, likely at the hands of Drake, after joining in on the meme.
Will Drake ever pay for his alleged crimes? Who will get justice for Duo? We can only hope.

Montoya Por Favor
One of the wildest reality TV moments of all time got the attention it deserved this week, turning the phrase "Montoya Por Favor" into a powerful meme that Montoya might not appreciate too much.
The scene comes from the eighth season of La Isla de las Tentaciones, which is essentially the Spanish counterpart of Love Island. In the third episode of the season, contestant Montoya was shown footage of his girlfriend Anita getting far too comfortable with someone else in the villa. Like, way too comfortable.
Understandably, Montoya was a bit upset and started running towards the villa while the producers yelled, "Montoya, por favor!" meaning, "Montoya, please!" The scene was posted to Twitter recently and went viral, giving the clip and the phrase "Montoya por favor" a whole new life.
As a meme, people started using the phrase over unrelated clips with similar energy to highlight a sense of urgency. Some examples include a clip from Twilight of Edward sprinting with Bella on his back and endless clips from sporting events.
It's a fun meme and all, but watching Montoya react to the clip is truly a harrowing experience. That being said, you should definitely watch it.

Besides Kendrick Lamar, the Super Bowl offered us one more major meme when Taylor Swift got booed while on the Jumbotron, resulting in her giving a side eye that the crowd isn't likely to forget any time soon.

Football fans have been vocally upset about Taylor Swift's presence at NFL games ever since she started dating Travis Kelce. Mostly, they're angry about how much attention is put on her appearance at the games rather than, well, the game itself.
Some are also angry because Taylor purportedly used to be an Eagles fan before she started dating Kelce, a Chiefs player. This turbulence was put on full display on Sunday when the Chiefs faced off against the Eagles and, as you probably know, lost.
Everyone was perfectly content to take out some of their anger by booing Swift, who looked a little puzzled about the situation.
The side eye became a big meme and was posted everywhere online, including by the current president, who wrote, "The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!" How the billionaire pop superstar will ever go on with her life after suffering such an atrocity remains to be seen.
