Unless you ate a bag of Walmart shrimp recently, you've made it to the end of August, meaning it's time for the weekly meme roundup.

This week on the web, we had a new reaction image from actress Emmy Rossum, the evolution of the 6-7 meme thanks to Mason 67, saw a man creating a horrifying animatronic go viral and much more.

Radioactive Walmart Shrimp

Walmart enthusiasts took a big L recently when the FDA put out a warning about potentially radioactive shrimp at Walmart, causing something of a nuclear explosion of memes.

It's not exactly known how the bags of frozen shrimp were potentially contaminated with Cesium-137 or how many bags were contaminated, but the fact that any frozen shrimp were possibly radioactive is obviously an issue — even if they're only 3.6 roentgen.

So, while the FDA warning and recall are absolutely welcome, it is one of the funniest possible recalls that you could imagine. Naturally, this inspired a whole lot of memes about what might happen if you ate a radioactive shrimp.

Some of the most popular examples include an image of a glowing toilet bowl captioned, "Do not eat the shrimp from Walmart," and a meme using the Glowing Man format reading, "Me after eating a whole bag of them Walmart radioactive shrimp."

Other memes play off the idea that eating the shrimp might give you superpowers like Spider-Man, although it's a struggle to think of a use case for shrimp-based superpowers or the appeal of "Shrimp-Man."

The Mason 67 meme is all about making fun of the typical Gen Alpha kid who obsesses over the 6-7 meme that's massively blown up in recent months.

For those who don't know, "6-7" has basically become Gen Alpha and Gen Z's version of "69" or "420," only with even less meaning. Recently, the meme gave way to the "67 Kid," which pokes fun at a video of a kid with fluffy hair yelling "6-7" into a camera.

From there, the meme has evolved to make fun of these types of kids in general, portraying them all with the stereotypical "ice cream" haircut and calling them out for being annoying.

Mason has now turned into an inescapable character on TikTok, even inspiring creepypasta edits, for some reason.

Citra Animatronic / Nosey Project

A TikToker named Citra is going viral after creating an arguably cool but also really terrifying animatronic named "Nosey," which he said is directly inspired by The Walten Files analog horror series.

Citra has been at it since June, but their progress on the animatronic didn't start going viral until recently, when an X user reuploaded a video of Citra showing off the unfinished animatronic's legs.

The progress he's made is impressive, and the animatronic looks like it's going to be of very high quality. He's even shown off sketches and plans of what the final design might look like, teasing a huge, rabbit-like thing that puts those FNaF animatronics to shame.

Since going viral on X, Citra has gained over a million followers, and his videos have blown up. People are eager to see the final results of the 10-foot-tall monstrosity, which is steadily getting more impressive each day.

Let's just hope this animatronic character doesn't like to get quirky at night.

People are now taking this phrase and attaching it to other famous couples and pairings that fit the "English teacher" and "gym teacher" aesthetic.

An old photo of actress Emmy Rossum biting her finger blew up on social media this week as a representation of holding back the desire to flirt.

The photo is a real throwback. It originates from Rossum's 2008 MySpace account and shows her lying on a bed while biting the tip of her finger in a way that can only be described as "cheeky."

The photo actually resurfaced around June 2025, when it started spreading across TikTok as a reaction meme. Then, in August, it made its way to X, turning the photo into a full-blown meme format.

Generally, the meme is used to represent someone who is holding back flirtatious feelings, like a post that reads, "me when someone with a Max Verstappen profile picture follows me." Other people are simply reposting the image as part of Emmy Rossum compilations, featuring flashy editing and music.
