Woman Realizes She Spent Her Daughter's Halloween Party With Completely White Lips After A Hilarious Mix-Up
A mother's Halloween outing took an unexpectedly embarrassing yet hilarious turn after she mistook a small tube of sunscreen for lip balm and unknowingly spent the rest of a party with white residue covering her lips.
Having received the product as a gift during the event, she applied it without realizing what it actually was, only discovering her mistake afterward.
The humorous mishap rapidly went viral across social media after being shared late last week, accumulating over 4.8 million views on TikTok and 4.3 million on Instagram since it was posted.
The incident was recounted by Natalie Drue, known online as @nataliemeansnice, a Dallas-Fort Worth-based content creator who shares videos about plus-size fashion, beauty, cooking and motherhood.
Her social media content frequently features glimpses of her everyday life with her daughter, Frankie, alongside personal experiences and humorous observations. Although Drue had previously attracted widespread attention with two TikTok videos, her latest post became another major success.
The incident occurred during a "Trunk or Treat" celebration that Drue attended with Frankie, where families gathered for Halloween activities and treats.
While recounting the experience, Drue explained that she had initially been pleased with the unfamiliar product's taste and smell, giving her no reason to suspect anything was wrong.
It was only when she returned to her car that she realized how she had appeared throughout the festivities, providing an unexpectedly humorous conclusion to the family outing.

The video starts with Drue speaking to the camera while sitting in a car. However, only the upper half of her face is visible, and she is also holding up a little tube. "So my daughter and I just went to a candy-less trunk or treat," she explains.
Drue turns over the tube to reveal that its label reads "Methodist Mansfield," though the words are mirrored. "This medical group," she says, pointing to the label, "handed out these lip balms, and I was like, ooh, that looks like a [great] lip balm, amazing," she says, putting the little tube down.
"Frankie was playing in the sensory bins, and so I put some on while we were waiting," Drue recounts, "smells so nice, it feels so hydrating," she says of her thoughts after putting on the lip balm.
"I liked it so much that I walked up to the table at the end of the event, because they had a bunch left over, and asked for another one," she explains. "And she was like, sure, you can have it," she says, quoting the woman who was in charge of Methodist Mansfield's table at the event.
"Got all the way to the car, looked in the mirror, and …" Drue says, before panning down to reveal the other half of her face. Her lips are entirely painted white. Drue looks at the camera in disbelief and smacks her lips.
"I look closer," she says after a pause, holding the little tube once more and reading from it, "and then it tells me: sunblock," she says, looking back to the camera and holding the little tube up in frustration, "and lip balm," she clarifies.
"Turns out, wouldn't you know, this," she says, uncapping the little tube on one end, "this is sunblock," she says, putting the cap on again and putting the "Paint Grandpa" meme of the old man who ate paint on top of the video, comparing the well-known photo to her appearance with the sunblock on her lips.
"And then the lip balm is in there," Drue adds, uncapping the other end of the little tube and showing it, before putting the cap on again.
"It's a cool product, um, but yeah, that's not the lip balm," Drue concludes.
"I literally talked to DOZENS of people. So confidently. BRB, never leaving the house again," Drue writes in her caption.
In the comments, people made jokes about what Drue looked like with the sunblock on her lips and about how the woman managing the table let her take another sunblock-lipbalm tube.
