Sharingan Killer They Call Me Naruto / No Way He Just Put in That Naruto Reference, also known as Sharingan Killa They Call Me Naruto, refers to a reaction video posted by YouTuber AnthonyRay (AR) in which he's listening to the rap song "Down On The Beat" by Ren, focusing on a bar that references the anime and manga series Naruto. AnthonyRay pauses the video and says, "No way he just put in that Naruto reference in there." When speaking, he says, "Naruto," in an emphasized Japanese accent. AnthonyRay notably has gages and is seen wearing a white T-shirt in the clip. The video was reposted to TikTok in March 2025. It became the subject of memes because of the widely held perception that the video was cringe. This perception stemmed from the weeaboo stereotype. The extended script from the video clip became a copypasta that was written in full in JuggTok videos. Others created brainrot edits using absurd CapCut filters like flame explosions and laser eyes. The original video was removed from YouTube for currently unknown reasons.

Origin

On March 12th, 2025, TikToker^[1] @mortzort1 reposted a video that was from YouTuber^[2] AnthonyRay (AR). The original video is not currently available. It was deleted, according to the TikToker in their comment section.

The TikTok is a clip from AnthonyRay's reaction to the song "Down On The Beat" by Ren, which was shared to YouTube^[3] by the rapper on August 24th, 2023.

In the clip, AnthonyRay listens to the lyric, "Sharingan killer, they call me Naruto." He pauses the song and says, "No way he just put in that Naruto reference in there," putting extra emphasis on, "Naruto," by saying it in a Japanese accent. The TikTok received over 47,400 likes in 15 days (shown below).

On March 23rd, 2025, TikToker^[4] @hookedprod used the sound^[5] for a JuggTok video with an NBA background. A rough version of the copypasta was written in text overlay. It received over 121,700 likes in four days (shown below).

Similar videos surfaced soon after, like one shared by TikToker^[6] @yrnickk on March 25th, which instead used a football (soccer) background video, gaining over 109,300 likes in two days (shown below).

Videos spread outside of the original TikTok sound in late March 2025. For instance, on March 26th, TikToker^[7] @xssume posted an edit with the audio, gaining over 100,000 likes in a day (shown below).

Iterations of the meme spread to YouTube as well. For instance, on March 26th, 2025, YouTuber^[8] Babi Gin shared a JuggTok-like video with the audio, using a Roblox background. In a day, it received over 8,700 views (shown below).
