HBO Starts Posting 25 Second Sopranos Clips On TikTok, Introducing Gen Z To The Gabagool
An interesting new TikTok account dedicated to the famed HBO show The Sopranos has popped up over the last week and started posting 25-second compilations of clips from episodes throughout the series' run.
As the account and its content begin to garner attention this week, many on TikTok are apparently rejoicing.

The Sopranos, which aired from 1999 to 2007 on HBO, is widely regarded as the signature program of quality cable drama, creating the template that almost every viral cable show since then has followed.
Characters across the years, from Kendall Roy to Walter White, all have a bit of Tony Soprano's conceptual DNA in them.
The reception given to the account has so far been quite positive. The "Sopranos in :25" project is inspired by the 25th anniversary of the show's premiere in 1999, which is also being promoted with events, special content and the release of the show's first two episodes for free on YouTube.
Some online took the chance to joke about the generational divide between people who watched The Sopranos 25 years ago, on a physical television set that had an HBO subscription, versus people watching the 25-second versions of episodes on TikTok.
Others also had their doubts about the 25-second format, with the news outlet Indy100 even writing an article titled "Sopranos fans appalled at HBO decision to upload entire series to TikTok" that includes many of the not-so-positive reactions to the account and its concept.
Overall, the reception seems to be positive, with people praising the decision by Warner Bros. to make the famous show more available to a younger generation.
Tony Soprano has, of course, already made inroads with the TikTok generation because of memes like Tony Soprano Sees The Gyatt, among many others over the years.
